$2 Etched Beer Mugs

Not sure if there are going to birthday gifts for my mom and stepdad or Christmas gifts, either way, they are done and I'm happy with the way they turned out.

Materials:

  • Beer Mugs - found at Dollar Tree, so each of them were only a $1.
  • Etching Cream
  • Paint brush
  • Vinyl or contact paper
Step 1 - Cut the vinyl however you like, either by hand or with something like a cricut and apply the vinyl to the glass.

Step 2 - Liberally brush on the etching cream & let set well past what they tell you to.

Step 3 - Rinse off the cream and remove the vinyl.

Step 4 - Clean off any adhesive or other residue and you're good to go.

  2. What a great idea! That would also be perfect on champagne flutes for a wedding!

  3. I love how these turned out! I have never used this stuff before. I used the Rustoleum spray etching stuff, which doesn't really etch, just puts a film on the surface. I am going to have to try this now. Thanks for the inspiration! :-)

  4. I love etching cream! I am sure that Grams and Gramps will love the mugs (I would, so if they don't like them you know where they will have a good home!).
