Spring Hat

Another little project Linday's upcoming $5 Challenge and to welcome Spring into our front door.

Materials:

  • Spring Hat ($1 at Dollar Tree)
  • 3 stems of flowers ($1 each, total $3)
  • White ribbon (already had)
  • Hot Glue
Total spent: $4

First up, I removed the green ribbon from that hat:

Then, I attached the white ribbon around in its place, I thought it offered more contrast.

Using hot glue I attached the flowers around the side of the hat.

The ribbon that I removed from around the hat, became the hanger on the back of the hat...

(Sorry, it is a little hard to see...)
And here is the finished product on the door.

Not thrilled with it, but it was cute, cost $4 and was completed in under half an hour. I guess not all projects have to knock your socks off.

  1. I love how you didn't decorate the whole hat. Beautiful!

  2. Pretty! Instead of a Spring wreath, you have a Spring Hat! What a great idea!

Thanks for linking up to Make it Yours day!

  4. I saw those hats at the Dollar Tree and I was wondering what to do with them. You've inspired me!
