Materials:
- Beer Mugs - found at Dollar Tree, so each of them were only a $1.
- Etching Cream
- Paint brush
- Vinyl or contact paper
Step 1 - Cut the vinyl however you like, either by hand or with something like a cricut and apply the vinyl to the glass.
Step 2 - Liberally brush on the etching cream & let set well past what they tell you to.
Step 3 - Rinse off the cream and remove the vinyl.
Step 4 - Clean off any adhesive or other residue and you're good to go.
I love etching on glass, the cricut help make it alot of fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! That would also be perfect on champagne flutes for a wedding!
ReplyDeleteI love how these turned out! I have never used this stuff before. I used the Rustoleum spray etching stuff, which doesn't really etch, just puts a film on the surface. I am going to have to try this now. Thanks for the inspiration! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love etching cream! I am sure that Grams and Gramps will love the mugs (I would, so if they don't like them you know where they will have a good home!).
